Rejoice, Auburn fans. Kyle Davis is officially back with the Tigers football team.
Gus Malzahn made the news official on Wednesday when speaking to reporters at the Regions Pro-Am golf tournament in Hoover, Ala.
“Kyle Davis will be at our team meeting tonight when we got our guys coming back and he’ll be back ready to go,” Malzahn said when asked to update the receiver’s status.
Malzahn was pressed to answer if Davis would be on any probationary status with the team, and his response cleared that up as well: “No, he’s ready to go.”
Davis missed all of spring practice with what coach Gus Malzahn called “personal business.” Auburn University opens its summer semester of classes this Thursday, May 18. The talented sophomore receiver posted earlier in the week that he had returned to campus, but Malzahn was mum on the timing of his return during the SEC coaches teleconference on Monday.

Malzahn is paired to play with former Arkansas golfer John Daly, who won his first PGA tournament in 13 years earlier in the month.
