AUBURN, Ala. — If the Auburn coaching staff didn’t get along last year, Gus Malzahn doesn’t want to talk about it.
On Wednesday morning, former Auburn head coach Pat Dye told ESPN 106.7 that the Tigers coaching staff didn’t like each other in 2015. Dye also said that he supported Malzahn’s decisions regarding coaching changes in the offseason.
“I’m not talking about last year,” Malzahn said Thursday regarding Dye’s comments. “We’re a week away from playing one of the better teams in the country.”
Five Auburn coaches left after the Tiger’s 7-6 season. Defensive coordinator Will Muschamp was hired as the head coach at South Carolina. Auburn defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson and linebackers coach Lance Thompson followed Muschamp to South Carolina.
Offensive line coach J.B. Grimes was hired at Cincinnati and LSU hired Dameyune Craig as its wide receivers coach.
