Auburn freshman Jayvaughn Myers will undergo surgery on an injured knee Thursday and miss the remainder of the season, according to 247Sports’ Brandon Marcello, who cited a source.
The Tigers cornerback suffered the injury in practice last week, but was widely viewed as a redshirt candidate this season anyway, according to Marcello.
Jayvaugh Myers signed with Auburn along with his brother, Nate Craig-Myers, and was rated as a 3-star recruit out of Pasco High School (Dade City, Fla.).
He was ranked as the nation’s No. 38 cornerback and the state of Florida’s No. 53 overall player, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
