It should come as no surprise who will be the starting quarterback for Auburn.
Auburn will stay the course and go with Jeremy Johnson at quarterback for Saturday’s Iron Bowl game against Alabama, according to AL.com’s Brandon Marcello.
This will mark Johnson’s fourth consecutive start in place of injured redshirt freshman Sean White, who took the job from Johnson four games into the season.
Johnson, who began the season as the Tigers’ starter, is 40-of-58 with 356 yards and three touchdowns compared to one interception in his last three starts. He has also rushed for a pair of touchdowns, both of which came last week in Auburn’s 56-34 victory over Idaho.
Johnson lost the starting job to White after Auburn’s loss to LSU on Sept. 19. He took it back before the Tigers’ Nov. 7 tilt at Texas A&M, which they won, 26-10.
Auburn is 2-1 in Johnson’s last three starts, and 4-2 overall with him as the starter.
