Auburn opened up preseason practice without one of its top offensive playmakers.
Running back Jovon Robinson was not dressed out or present on Wednesday, according to 247Sports’ Brandon Marcello. Robinson appeared in eight games last season, rushing for 639 yards and three touchdowns.
The rising senior came on toward the end of last season, and rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown in the Tigers’ Birmingham Bowl victory over Memphis.
Prior to arriving at Auburn, Robinson set junior college records in season rushing (2,387 yards), touchdowns (34) and points scored (204) at Georgia Military College. He came to the Tigers ranked as the nation’s top JUCO running back.
