Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said the starting quarterback for Thursday night’s matchup with Kentucky would be a game-time decision, but the choice may have already been made.
Redshirt freshman Sean White will start a third consecutive game for the Tigers on Thursday night against Kentucky, according to a report by the Alabama News Network’s Christina Chambers.
Auburn is 1-1 since White took over. Junior Jeremy Johnson was benched prior to a Week 4 matchup against Mississippi State.
The Tigers lost that game 17-9, but the team defeated San Jose State 35-21 in White’s second start. White has completed 26-of-38 passes in his two starts, but he has yet to throw a touchdown and also has an interception.
