It’s been nearly three weeks since the nation’s top junior college receiver in Brandon Martin de-committed from Auburn. And considering his presence Saturday at the Tigers’ recruiting picnic event on Saturday, Auburn appears to be still very much in the running to land him.
“It was a blessing to get another chance to come up here and meet with the coaches again,” Martin said, according to a report from AL.com’s Tom Green. “I’m glad I got a chance to come back.”
Martin, who did not reveal the schools he is still considering, also said he will return to campus for the team’s Sept. 3 game vs. Clemson and then plans to take an official visit later in the fall.
“They still recruiting me hard,” Martin said. “They just told me to take my time; I’m still their No. 1 guy they want to take.”
Martin originally signed with LSU out of high school but currently plays at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
The Dallas, Texas native is 6-foot-4, 205 pounds and is 20 years old. He previously picked Auburn over Louisville, Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi State, LSU and others.
