Auburn came out of the bye week with most of its players healthy and it showed in the Tigers’ 30-27 win over Kentucky last Thursday. However, the Tigers did not emerge unscathed on the injury front.
Running back Roc Thomas and defensive tackle Montravius Adams were both injured in the victory, but the two players are expected to play Saturday against Arkansas, according to Auburn coach Gus Malzahn.
Adams had two tackles in the Kentucky game, while Thomas carried the ball four times for eight yards before leaving with a leg injury. Thomas was also injured in Auburn’s opening game against Louisville and again in their 17-9 loss to Mississippi State.
“It just tends to be the same thing kind of nagging him over and over again,” Auburn offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee told reporters on Sunday night.
Thomas has 151 yards on 33 carries this season. He also has eight catches for 163 yards and a touchdown. Adams leads Auburn defensive linemen with 22 tackles in six games.
