UConn made the decision to add an Auburn flavor to its offense when the Huskies poached Tigers OC Rhett Lashlee to call the plays under Randy Edsall in 2017. The Huskies continued that trend on Monday with the official addition of new offensive line coach J.B. Grimes.
Grimes, who coached the Auburn offensive line from 2013-15 before being replaced by Herb Hand, was officially announced as the Huskies new line coach on Monday. He spent the 2016 season as the offensive line coach at Cincinnati under former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville.

During his time at Auburn, Grimes helped turn tackles Greg Robinson and Shon Coleman into NFL Draft picks. Robinson was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 draft.
Grimes will reunite with Lashlee in Storrs. Together, the two helped Auburn to a national title game appearance during the 2013 season.
