This is your War Eagle Wakeup. The best way to start your day is right here at SEC Country as we prepare you for everything you need to know about Auburn sports. We’ll share our War Eagle Wakeup, here with you every morning, Monday through Friday.
Happy Tuesday, Auburn fans!
To take your mind off of the release of the College Football Playoff rankings (which come out tonight at 7 pm ET), we’ve scrounged up a couple more images for your enjoyment:

In good company
Statistically speaking, Carl Lawson started the year slowly, but the junior has been everywhere through the last several weeks. So far, he has 8.5 sacks on the season and needs just three more to to tie the single-season record.
The last Auburn player to rack up 11.5 sacks?
Defensive lineman Nick Fairley, who’s been starting for the New Orleans Saints this season.
— Jeff Shearer (@jeff_shearer) November 7, 2016
Lawson isn’t the only player who’s drawing complimentary comparisons, either. Sophomore running Kamryn Pettway back might not be exactly like Bo Jackson, but he’s the only other running back to rush for more than 150 yards in four straight games.
This Pettway for Heisman call from Auburn fans is starting to resonate a bit …
Kamryn Pettway is the first @FootballAU player to rush for 150+ yds in 4 straight games in 31 years.

One thing that’s been pretty cool to see on social media is the response of former Auburn players to the Tigers’ six-game win streak. Current NFL stars have shouted out this year’s team and former Auburn greats have praised current leaders.
There have also been a number of former Tigers who have come back to the sideline for games, including Jackson and Cam Newton earlier this year.
With the Iron Bowl approaching, it’s probably helpful for Auburn fans to remember there’s all kinds of support coming from Tigers who have had success on the Plains.
6 in a row for my Auburn Tigers!!! Let's go boys prove the doubters wrong…4ever an Auburn Man!!! WarDamnEagle!! #MissBeingOnThePlains..

The Mannequin Challenge
It’s the newest trend taking college sports programs by storm — the Mannequin Challenge. All different sports teams from all over the country (pro and college) took videos in different settings with players holding still in videos.
Here’s the Auburn football team’s best shot (It’s a slam dunk, in case you were wondering.):

And with the Iron Bowl spirit on the minds of many, here’s the Alabama mannequin challenge, too:

LSU had some extra fans when they played Alabama over the weekend. Unfortunately, the Tigers didn’t help Auburn fans who were cheering for them, but some of the Twitter responses to the game were worthy of being noted.
It’s clearly that time of year when the SEC gets even more heated than usual, and this season is no exception. If anything, 2016 is showing how much fun the end of the year could be.

Auburn didn't score a touchdown against LSU and still scored 8 more points than Alabama did. #wareagle

Here's my prediction…Alabama, Auburn, A&M or LSU will be SEC champs….As Charles Barkley would say, " the SEC East is turrable"

Happening on the Plains
Auburn soccer suffered a tough loss to Arkansas in the SEC Tournament, but the team received some exciting news on Monday.
— Auburn Soccer (@AuburnSoccer) November 8, 2016
The Tigers will be hosting a first-round NCAA Tournament match on Saturday at the Auburn Soccer Complex. No. 4 Auburn (14-6-0) will take on South Alabama at noon.
This is just the third time in program history that the Tigers received a national seed. Another cool factor is that this team is the first to achieve the feat in back-to-back seasons. Also, Auburn’s 14 wins rank fifth in program history and the team tied the school record for wins in SEC play, too.
Auburn had good luck in the NCAA Tournament last year. For the first time ever the women won a home match and followed with a win over Texas Tech at a neutral site.
The Tigers have earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament and will host South Alabama on Saturday at 12 pm!
