An in-state battle appears to be looming for Tadarian Moultry, one of the top prospects in Alabama.
Both the Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide are pursuing the four-star linebacker, who has made pit stops at both campuses in recent weeks. Moultry was on the Plains on Feb. 20 for Auburn’s Junior Day event.
Rated the No. 8 inside linebacker in 2017, Moultry maintained Sunday that both schools remain tied at the top of his list. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound product out of Birmingham said he’s “still open.”
Schools like Mississippi and Clemson continue to recruit him aggressively, and Moultry plans to visit Georgia in two weeks.
Moultry is a high-value target for Auburn in the 2017 cycle. After signing just one linebacker in February, the program is in need of adding depth to the position.
In the video below, Moultry details his growing relationship with first-year Auburn linebackers coach Travis Williams, the personality of new Tigers defensive coordinator Kevin Steele and the atmosphere at Auburn.
