AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn’s recruiting class for 2017 could jump a few more times in the recruiting rankings in July.
Several Auburn commitments are hinting at more additions to the class. Even after the 11th addition Friday – 4-star receiver Brandon Martin – those commitments said that wasn’t who they were pointing to in their predictions laid out in a series of cryptic tweets the night before Martin’s commitment to Auburn.
Linebacker Chandler Wooten said “one of the top” players in the country is set to commit to Auburn. Martin, the nation’s No. 1 junior college receiver, was apparently not that player.
Best part about it is that's not even who I was referring to ??

Five-star offensive tackle Calvin Ashley tweeted Thursday night two players will commit soon to Auburn.
Either way, Auburn’s recruiting class jumped four spots to 15th nationally after Martin’s commitment Friday, according to 247Sports.
Who could be next on the commitment circuit? It certainly seems like athlete Tray Bishop, a quarterback target for Auburn, is high on the Tigers and could commit at any time.
Another WR , ???

Auburn is searching for a dual-threat star following quarterback Kellen Mond’s commitment to Texas A&M earlier this week and Bishop appears to be the next best thing on Auburn’s big board.
Meanwhile, Auburn commitment Malcolm Askew continues to promise more commitments in the future. “There is no other class in the country hotter than use right now,” he tweeted Friday. “And trust me there are more to come very soon.”
Below are a few names that could potentially commit to Auburn in the coming days and weeks:
- RB Devan Barrett, ★★★★
- QB/ATH Tray Bishop, ★★★★
- OG Nick Brahms, ★★★★
- LB Will Ignont, ★★★★
- TE Tre McKitty, ★★★
