CBS Sports college football analyst Blake Brockermeyer released his final Top 150 players of the 2025 season, outlining clear criteria for how the list was constructed.
“This is my final Top 150, which I’d like to think is a full accounting of the most impactful, dominant, and indispensable players in college football, from preseason expectations to postseason reality,” Brockermeyer wrote. “This list isn’t about draft stock or the box score. It’s about production, consistency, context, and how much a player mattered to his team.”
Using that framework, Brockermeyer identified six Georgia Bulldogs among the top 150 most impactful players in college football this season.

Georgia’s highest-ranked player was quarterback Gunner Stockton, who came in at No. 48 overall and No. 13 among quarterbacks. Brockermeyer noted that while Stockton’s raw numbers may not overwhelm, his performance in high-leverage situations stood out. Stockton completed 71 percent of his passes with 23 touchdowns and five interceptions, while adding nearly 450 rushing yards and eight scores on the ground.

Linebacker CJ Allen followed at No. 57 overall and No. 5 at his position. Allen was praised as the physical backbone of Georgia’s defense, finishing with 85 tackles and consistently setting the tone in the box.
Wide receiver Zachariah Branch checked in at No. 77 overall and No. 11 among receivers after posting his most productive season, hauling in 73 receptions for nearly 750 yards while providing explosive playmaking as a return specialist.

Offensive guard Micah Morris ranked No. 97 overall and No. 5 among guards, recognized as Georgia’s most consistent offensive lineman as the unit improved throughout the season.
Running back Nate Frazier landed at No. 99 overall and No. 8 at his position, earning praise for his downhill running style and ability to generate yards after contact. Defensive tackle Christen Miller rounded out Georgia’s representatives at No. 119 overall and No. 5 among interior defenders.
Taking a closer look
A closer look at the positional rankings reveals a recurring theme. Ohio State players were ranked ahead of Georgia players six times across these positions. This could lead to someone believing that Georgia faces a significant talent deficit as it enters the College Football Playoff.
If that interpretation were accurate, the Bulldogs might as well pack up their season now. How could Georgia possibly navigate the playoff with such a pronounced talent gap?
But does that gap actually exist?
According to the 247Sports College Football Talent Composite, if there is a talent roster advantage, it favors Georgia. The discrepancy raises an important question about how individual player rankings translate to overall roster strength, development, and on-field execution. Particularly when the postseason arrives.
