No. 5 Georgia will hit the road to Starkville, Mississippi, for an SEC matchup against Mississippi State on Saturday.
The Bulldogs enter the game on a four-game winning streak, which was extended with a comeback win over Florida last weekend. Georgia lost the head-to-head matchup to Alabama, falling 24-21 back in Week 5.
ESPN’s Bill Connelly released his score predictions for every Week 11 college football game using his SP+ formula. The model is a tempo and opponent-adjusted measure of college football efficiency.
According to Connelly’s model, Georgia is projected to defeat Mississippi State 32-25, which is a closer game than the current 8.5-point spread projects.
Georgia has dominated the all-time series against Mississippi State, leading the series 21-6, dating back to 1914. The Bulldogs have also won the last five meetings between the two programs, including 14 of the past 15 games against Mississippi State.
