GAINESVILLE, Fla. — As expected, Florida’s Jalen “Teez” Tabor will enter the 2017 NFL Draft.
The junior cornerback announced Thursday that he’s forgoing his senior season to turn pro. Tabor is projected to be a first-round pick.
The former 5-star recruit was a regular in Florida’s secondary rotation since his freshman year. He finished his career with 26 starts in 37 games played.
Tabor was selected to the All-SEC first team in 2015 and 2016. He finished his junior campaign with 33 tackles, 4 interceptions and 6 pass breakups.
Tabor joins fellow cornerback Quincy Wilson, linebacker Alex Anzalone and offensive tackle David Sharpe as early departures for the draft. Fortunately for Florida’s secondary, junior defenisve back Duke Dawson is returning for the 2017 season.
