GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The first practice is in the books.
The Florida Gators began fall camp with a split-squad practice as the team gets back to the grind and prepares for the 2017 season. For the newcomers, it was their first taste of what a Jim McElwain-run practice is like. For the returners, it was another day on the gridiron.
The quarterback battle is in full gear and, for the next month, competition will be abundant as the Gators prepare for their season opener against Michigan on Sept. 2.
