Florida has lost a commitment.
Four-star safety C.J. Smith announced Wednesday night that he was de-committing from Florida. He made the announcement via a message on Twitter, which said, in part, “I feel like it would be in my best interest to de-commit from the University of Florida.”
Smith is a 6-foot-2, 193-pound member of the Class of 2018 from West Palm Beach, Fla. He committed to the Gators on March 28.
The 247Sports national composite ranks him as the No. 208 player for his class and the No. 42 player in Florida.
