All five SEC teams currently competing in the NCAA tournament Super Regionals are favored to advance to Omaha and the College World Series, according to odds from Bovada.
Florida is the betting line favorite among SEC schools to win the whole thing, coming in at 5-to-1 to win the national championship. Those are the third best odds for the teams remaining in the tournament behind only Louisville and Miami (Fla.).
The Gators open up a best-of-three series against Florida State in Gainesville on Saturday. Florida is 4-to-13 favorite to defeat Florida State (meaning if you bet $13, you would win $4 in the bet).
The other SEC teams are also favorites and are in the hunt for the national championship too.
Texas A&M have 11-to-2 odds to win the whole thing, Mississippi State comes in at 8 to 1, LSU is 11 to 1 and South Carolina is 15 to 1. Again, all are favored to win their super regional series.
If the favorites win out, that would place five SEC teams among the eight competing in the College World Series. That would be the quite the dominance.
There is the small matter of winning those series first.
LSU hosts Coastal Carolina beginning Saturday, South Carolina hosts Oklahoma City beginning Saturday, Mississippi State hosts Arizona beginning Friday and Texas A&M hosts TCU beginning Friday.
