A new name is on Florida’s recruiting board.
The Gators extended an offer Thursday to 3-star defensive back Donovan Stiner, a Houston commit from Bellaire, Texas. He will officially visit UF this weekend.
Florida is still trying to fill its secondary needs and lost a commitment Wednesday from 4-star cornerback Elijah Blades (Pasdena, Calif.). Miami cornerback C.J. Henderson is also trending toward his hometown Hurricanes.
In addition to Stiner, 4-star cornerback Brad Stewart (New Orleans) and 3-star cornerback Brian Edwards (Miramar, Fla.) visit UF this weekend as well. Louisville and Miami are other finalists for Edwards, while Arkansas and Arizona State round out Stewart’s top 3.
The Gators also hosted 3-star cornerback Eric Stokes (Covington, Ga.) earlier this month. He visits Ole Miss this weekend and has Georgia in the mix too.
