GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Caleb Brantley will show up on Florida’s stat sheet Saturday.
After a quiet first two games, the Gators defensive tackle sacked North Texas quarterback Mason Fine for a safety on the Mean Green’s first offensive series.

Brantley had one tackle in the season opener and none against Kentucky, but UF coach Jim McElwain praised Brantley’s play on Monday.
“These guys got a lot of people in their mind, in their ears, telling them they’ve got to have all this and that,” McElwain said. “Ultimately, the people that make the decisions when you talk about the next level actually look at how you do your job. And the guys up front, (Joey) Ivie, Brantley, (Bryan) Cox, some guys just did an outstanding job of doing their job, taking care of their responsibilities and it allowed some other people around them to really, really play good.”
