ESPN’s Booger McFarland had some bold words when talking about the Florida defense.
While speaking on the Paul Finebaum show, McFarland, a former LSU defensive tackle, said “Right now, the Gators defense is the best defense not only in the SEC, they’re the best defense in America.”

Through three games this season, Florida (3-0) has surrendered a total of 389 yards — an average of 130 yards per game — which leads the nation. The Gators have also only allowed two touchdowns thus far in wins over UMass, Kentucky and North Texas. Florida travels to No. 14 Tennessee on Saturday in a game that will likely have huge SEC East and national implications.
