ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit blasted an “entitled” Florida fan Saturday morning.
Herbstreit spent the morning answering Twitter questions about the upcoming season, but caught some flak from some Gators fans after he picked Tennessee to win the SEC East. Fans called out Herbstreit for his general negativity about the Gators and one used an example from last season, when Herbstreit picked Kentucky to knock off Florida on College GameDay.
Like every year Tennessee is favorited and then we come in, and who are you kidding? You hate Florida anyway… ?☕️ https://t.co/DD3AJ59fIm

Herbstreit sniped back with a bold response of his own.
Some Gator fans think they're entitled to the crown in the East. You watch UF in their bowl game? Got that one right https://t.co/B3CVxnJ5E5

The Gators are coming off of a strong 10-4 campaign in Jim McElwain’s first season. Florida jumped out to a 6-0 start before former quarterback Will Grier was suspended for taking performance-enhancing drugs. The Gators never found a suitable replacement at quarterback and went 4-4 in its final eight games, including a three-game losing streak to end the season.
Florida enters the upcoming season with some unanswered questions, particularly at quarterback. The Gators will have to combat a loaded Tennessee team that has garnered plenty of preseason praise, as well as a talented UGA team with first-year coach Kirby Smart.
