Florida recently hosted five-star cornerback Shaun Wade, but the visit didn’t appear to do anything to change the Ohio State commit’s mind.
Wade told Corey Bender of Scout.com that he had a good time on the visit to Gainesville, Fla., and “loved” it. However, coach Jim McElwain and his staff have a lot of work to do to pry Wade from the Buckeyes.
“I’m 100 percent with Urban Meyer and Ohio State,” Wade told Bender. “The corner coach (Kerry Coombs), all the coaches. I love all the coaches. I talk to them 24/7 everyday.”
Wade also said he’s receiving a lot of attention from multiple schools, including Ole Miss, Stanford, UCLA and USC. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder recently received an offer from Alabama on Feb. 11.
The Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) product is the No. 3 cornerback in the country for next year’s class, the No. 3 player in the state of Florida and the No. 12 overall prospect in the nation.
