Those Florida students who haven’t picked up their football tickets might want to get on the task as soon as possible.
The Gators’ student ticket office tweeted an advisory to students Monday, suggesting that those who haven’t snagged their football tickets do so before the weather turns wet in a big way later in the week. The tweet linked to a university alert that said officials are monitoring Tropical Depression Nine.
As described in a release, the “potential exists for locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds in association with squalls late Wednesday through early Friday, as the system moves across the Peninsula.” (In order words, watch out, Florida.)
Students would be wise to take the advice. The Gators are scheduled to open the season against UMass on Saturday night at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. There could be plenty of rain to deal with in the coming days.
Stay dry, all.
