Another Gators alum has earned gold in Rio.
Kerron Clement won a gold medal in the 400 meter hurdles at the Olympics on Thursday morning, bringing the medal count for Florida alums to nine, with six of those gold.
Clement, 30, edged Boniface Mucheru of Kenya by .05 seconds with a time of 47.73. This is Clement’s first gold medal, after he claimed silver in this event in Beijing in 2008.
