Florida baseball coach Kevin O’Sullivan will remain the head coach at Florida, Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball reports. O’Sullivan was receiving overtures from Texas and was the Longhorns’ top target for the now-vacant job.

O’Sullivan’s Gators are preparing to take on Florida State in the super regional round of the NCAA tournament beginning Saturday in Gainesville. It is another big opportunity for O’Sullivan’s program to reach yet another College World Series.
The Gators have gone 394-186 in nine seasons under O’Sullivan with four College World Series appearances and a school-record nine consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. He has helped build the Florida program into a national power.
The Gators are two wins away from another College World Series appearance and a shot at O’Sullivan’s first national championship in Gainesville.
Keeping him in Gainesville was a priority, and it is good to see these rumors put to rest ahead of the super regional series.
