GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida’s center is hurt … again.
Tyler Jordan started Saturday in place of Cam Dillard, who suffered a knee injury at Arkansas and is out indefinitely. Jordan was previously the starter at right guard.
On the Gators’ first offensive play against South Carolina, Jordan went down with what appeared to be a right ankle injury. He limped off the field and trainers examined him on the sideline, then he went to the locker room.
T.J. McCoy, Florida’s third-string center, replaced Jordan in the starting lineup. McCoy redshirted in 2015 and has played in just two games this year. His backup would be true freshman Brett Heggie.
The Gators scored on their opening drive to take a 7-0 lead.
