This is a classy way for Mike White to cap a memorable season.
Florida fell just short of a Final Four berth on Sunday, losing 77-70 to South Carolina at Madison Square Garden in the East Region final. Still, the Gators made many memories during the NCAA Tournament, perhaps none better than Chris Chiozza’s game-winning 3-pointer in a dramatic victory over Wisconsin in the Sweet 16.
On Monday, the Florida coach took to Twitter to say the sun came up in the morning — “always in FL” — and that it was a fun ride for him and his team. He also thanked Gators fans for their support.
Check out the message below:

Sure, being denied a Final Four spot after going so far in the NCAA Tournament can be rough. But Florida fans had to like what they saw from White’s team during a solid 27-9 season that included a 14-4 record in SEC play.
It will be fun to watch what the Gators accomplish in future seasons. This most recent run likely will serve as a valuable lesson as Florida moves into the future. The goal should be to reach the Final Four after being denied this time.
