Florida announced the indefinite suspension of redshirt freshman defensive back Deiondre Porter late Wednesday morning.
UPDATE: The Gainesville Police Department confirmed Porter’s arrest and released a mug shot and police report. In the report, the victim, who said she is 10 weeks pregnant, alleges that Porter held a gun to her head during an argument and then several hours later fired a bullet into the wall she was leaning against while they were arguing again.

UPDATE: Gainesville PD also released an incident report detailing a Sept. 30 traffic stop in which the driver was arrested on charges of drug possession and for carrying a concealed firearm. Porter had been a passenger in the vehicle.
Coach Jim McElwain confirmed the suspension on Wednesday’s SEC teleconference saying: “He’s no longer with the football team, he’s suspended indefinitely.”
