Florida defensive lineman Alex McCalister leaves game with apparent leg injury
UPDATE: Florida defenseman lineman Alex McCalister has a boot on his foot and is walking with crutches. He has been ruled out for the rest of the game against South Carolina.
After the game, Florida coach Jim McElwain said the result of an x-ray on McCalister’s foot was “fine,” according to Landon Watnick of InsidetheGators.com.
Early in the first quarter against South Carolina, McCalister went down with an apparent foot injury.
Reports have stated that he was walking off the field gingerly.
Freshman defensive lineman CeCe Jefferson has taken his spot on the line.
Mcallister helped off field by trainers, walking gingerly. LB Jarrad Davis appeared to get him as they converged for tackle.
