GAINESVILLE, Fla. — There’s an update regarding Florida’s game against Florida State.
The ACC announced that the game will be part of the ACC’s six-day selection process. A time and network will be released on Sunday.
Florida leads the all-time series 34-24-2, but Florida State has won the last three meetings — including a lopsided 27-2 victory in Gainesville last fall.
The Gators regained some confidence last Saturday with a 20-7 win over South Carolina, returning to their dominant defensive ways and getting a spark from backup quarterback Austin Appleby.
The Seminoles, meanwhile, have won their last two games, including a 45-7 dismantling of Boston College last Friday. They have won four of their last five overall with the only loss in that stretch a competitive 37-34 game with then-unbeaten Clemson.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Deondre Francois has passed for 2,675 yards, 15 touchdowns and 4 interceptions while Dalvin Cook has rushed for 1,242 yards and 13 scores.
For that matter, Florida’s injury-depleted defense is in for a test the next two weeks as the Gators first head to LSU this Saturday, looking to clinch the SEC East title with a win.
