GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida players had spoken about wanting to make a statement in their homecoming game with Missouri and their first game in two weeks after the unexpected postponement the previous weekend.
And that they did.
That’s the highest they’ve been ranked all season.
The defense keyed the blowout win Saturday as cornerbacks Jalen Tabor and Quincy Wilson each returned interceptions for touchdowns.
The offense was shaky, but the Gators nonetheless piled up 523 yards for their second-highest total of the season.
