Florida for the win!
It’s tough to be the SEC East right now. The division lives in the SEC West’s shadow, again. The division doesn’t appear to have a real contender to threaten the eventual SEC West champion, again. The division has some terrible teams at the bottom, again.
At least the Gators have kept their head above water when considering point differential in conference play.
Check out the figures gathered below by Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports. If you’re not a Florida fan, they’re gruesome:

The Gators, who are 5-1 and threatening to win the SEC East for the second consecutive year, have enjoyed a few blowouts to inflate their total in the category. Beating Kentucky 45-7 and Missouri 40-14 will do that.
It will be fascinating to see how the SEC East race between Florida and Tennessee unfolds the rest of the season. The Gators have conference games against Georgia, Arkansas, South Carolina and LSU left. It’s not a stretch to predict that Florida can improve its point differential in SEC play even more.
