GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida assistant Ja’Juan Seider has a new role under first-year Gators coach Dan Mullen.
Seider is now the tight ends coach after working with the running backs last season, SEC Country confirmed Tuesday. Greg Knox replaces Seider as the RB coach, a position he held for nine seasons on Mullen’s staff at Mississippi State.
Knox served as the MSU interim coach after Mullen’s departure and led the Bulldogs to a 31-27 win over Louisville in the TaxSlayer Bowl. Knox’s hiring at UF became official last week, but his role was not known at the time.
Seider is the lone holdover from Jim McElwain’s staff and enters his second season with the Gators. He is one of their best recruiters and accounted for five of Florida’s 13 signees in the early signing period.
Mullen, who made two support staff hires this week, has one position left to fill on his coaching staff.
