Florida jumps up to No. 4 in SEC Country Power Rankings
It’s OK to pinch yourself Florida fans. This isn’t a dream. This is real life. The Gators are 5-0 and are ranked No. 11 in the AP Top 25.
They also come in at No. 4 in this week’s Official SEC Country Power Rankings. Florida jumped up three spots from last week after a dominant 38-10 victory over Ole Miss this past Saturday.
UF amassed 185 points in this week’s power rankings, just one point behind No. 3 Alabama. Of note: Florida received one first-place vote, while LSU, the No. 1 team in the rankings, received 14 of 17 first-place votes.
Florida will travel to Baton Rouge in two weeks to take on LSU. But before that happens, the Gators this weekend take on Missouri, which is ranked No. 9 in the rankings. Missouri has not looked impressive this season, but Florida cannot overlook the Tigers this Saturday. This matchup screams trap game as Florida looks forward to games against LSU and UGA to close out the month of October. Those two games could decide whether or not Florida wins the SEC East and clinches a birth in the SEC Championship game in December.
