Florida has a one-in-three shot at landing one of the nation’s top offensive linemen.
Terrance Davis, the nation’s No. 2 offensive guard released his final three on Twitter and included Florida in the mix with Michigan and Maryland. That means Davis eliminated Georgia, UCLA and Alabama from his top group.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pounder had maintained Michigan was his leader for a while until he backed off of that shortly after his official visit to Michigan. He has yet to take one to Florida.
Florida has visited Davis, however. Gators offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier had an in-home visit with the top prospect shortly before the NCAA dead period began on Dec. 14.
The Dematha Catholic (Hyattsville, Md.) prospect will announce his commitment to his school of choice at the Under Armour All-America game on Jan. 2.
