GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Nadarius Fagan holds offers from two big-time SEC programs, and a third may soon follow suit.
The three-star linebacker from Miami Southridge attended Florida’s practice Monday to check out the Gators.
“It was a good visit,” said Fagan, who was offered by Alabama and LSU in January. “Practice was very competitive. The intensity of it really stood out to me. I like the way they run plays on defense, too.”
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder toured the indoor practice facility, stadium and locker room before meeting with UF coach Jim McElwain and linebackers coach Randy Shannon.
“They told me they hope that I become a future Gator,” Fagan said. “Playing for coach Shannon would be awesome. I know he’ll turn me into a great player.”
Fagan told SEC Country his top two schools are currently LSU and Nebraska. Florida has yet to extend an offer, but he expects it to happen soon.
“The coaches told me they just want to watch me in person,” Fagan said. “They’re going to come down in the spring and see what I can do.”
