Florida offensive guard Brandon Sandifer, known to some by the nickname “Heavy Chocolate,” has dropped weight. A lot of weight.
In fact, Sandifer tweeted Wednesday that he has shed exactly 51.8 pounds, and the photos he shared alongside that message show just how incredible a transformation it is for the redshirt freshman.

New nicknames proposed by Twitter users include “light chocolate” and “semi-heavy chocolate.” However, we’re not sure he’s ready to cast off such an excellent nickname just yet.
Sandifer isn’t the only Florida player to dramatically cut weight in recent months, either. Gators defensive lineman Thomas Holley, who was around 322 pounds when he re-aggravated a hip injury last year, reported to spring practice weighing in at 255 so that he would exert less pressure on the joint while playing, as reported by SEC Country’s Zach Abolverdi. The change all but forced coach Jim McElwain’s staff to move Holley from tackle to defensive end.
One things’s for certain here: The Florida strength and conditioning staff is doing some serious work down in Gainesville. McElwain may need to dole out a raise or two soon.
