With the way Florida has played over the last three weeks, the betting line for the team’s game against Florida State may surprise some.
Vegasinsider.com indicates that the Gators are a 1 1/2-point favorite for the Seminoles in Saturday’s game. The line dropped in half already, as the Gators were favored by three when the betting line opened.
Florida is coming off a 20-14 overtime win over Florida Atlantic. With the win, Jim McElwain became the first coach in program history to win at least 10 games in his first season. On the other hand, the Seminoles are coming off a 52-13 win against Chattanooga. Florida State is 9-2, with its losses coming against Georgia Tech and unbeaten Clemson.
In the overall series, Florida holds a 34-23-2 advantage. The Seminoles have had the Gators’ number lately, winning four of the previous five matchups.
