KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Florida quarterback Luke Del Rio is available for the Gators on Saturday.
One week removed from a knee sprain, Del Rio made the trip to Tennessee and dressed for the game. Del Rio warmed up on the field before the opening kickoff with a brace on his left knee.
Expected to miss 2-3 weeks, Del Rio surprisingly participated in practice this week and McElwain hinted Wednesday that he could play in Knoxville.
Austin Appleby made the start at quarterback and led the Gators on a touchdown drive their opening series.
