Florida swept SEC East play last season on its way to the SEC Championship game, but the Gators aren’t perceived as a favorite in the division next season.
That title is held by Tennessee. According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Volunteers are given 57 percent odds to win the East in 2016, with Georgia finishing second with 30 percent odds. Florida (10 percent) is projected to finish third.

Del Rio took a screenshot of the ESPN graphic and tweeted it on Tuesday. Not only did he put it on social media, but he also pinned the tweet at the top of his timeline. It appears that the graphic will serve as motivation for the signal caller as he tries to secure the starting job in Gainesville.
The redshirt sophomore recently received a scholarship from Florida after transferring in last summer and serving as a walk-on until last week. Del Rio joined Alabama as a walk-on in 2013 before leaving for Oregon State the following year.
After sitting out 2015 because of NCAA transfer rules, Del Rio heads into Florida’s preseason camp next month with an edge over Purdue graduate transfer Austin Appleby, who was also a walk-on in the spring.
