No. 8 Florida has a big road game ahead of it against No. 6 LSU, and the team will enter the game with sophomore Treon Harris under center. Harris and Grier competed for Florida’s starting quarterback spot during the summer and into the first few weeks of this season.
Given the competition, it would be understandable if the two harbored ill feelings toward one another, but Harris tweeted support to Grier Tuesday morning as he undergoes an appeal process.
Coach Jim McElwain said at a press conference Monday that the team supported Grier, and his new starter echoed those words clearly.
