Dameon Pierce is one of the most coveted running backs in the Class of 2018 due to an impressive overall body of work that now includes a major milestone.
Pierce is a 4-star prospect rated as the No. 9 RB in the cycle. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Bainbridge, Ga. standout gave his commitment to Florida back in August.
On Friday, Pierce rushed for 226 yards for Bainbridge High and surpassed Johnson County legend Herschel Walker to move into 16th on the state’s career rushing list. Pierce now sits at 6,196 yards in the GHSFHA record book.

Pierce’s performance, which included four touchdowns, came in Bainbridge’s 63-14 win over Thomas County Central.
He’s in range now to move up several spots on the list, potentially ninth if he’s able to reach 6,430 yards or even crack the top five if he can reach the 7,000-yard mark.
Walker played for Johnson County High in Wrightsville, Ga. from 1976-79, leading the Trojans to their first state championship in his senior season.
