Another Florida running back did not make the short trip to Jacksonville for Saturday’s game against Georgia.
A day after it was announced Mark Thompson would stay behind, it was reported by SEC Country’s Zach Abolverdi that Jordan Cronkite also would not be available to play for the Gators because of an undisclosed injury.

Cronkite left injured on Oct. 15 against Missouri. Even with the bye last week, it appears Cronkite is not ready enough to play.
Last year against Georgia, Cronkite did not have a great experience in his first taste of the Florida-Georgia rivalry. He was ejected for a contentious targeting call, then missed the first half of the Gators’ next game.
Thompson did not make the trip after it was reported on Friday he was cited for marijuana possession.
With Thompson and Cronkite both unavailable, that leaves sophomore Jordan Scarlett and freshman Lamical Perine to carry the load out of the Florida backfield on Saturday. The Gators and Bulldogs are scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
