ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida running back Kelvin Taylor hit the milestone he’s been chasing all season during the Citrus Bowl on Friday.
With a 7-yard run on third-and-6 in the second quarter, Taylor eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing for the year. He’s only the second UF player since Ciatrick Fason in 2004 to reach 1,000 yards in a season, joining former Gator and current Buffalo Bills running back Mike Gillislee.
Taylor’s five 100-yard games this year are also the most in a season since Fason. Taylor has decided to forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft.
