Dan Mullen brought an offensive mind with him to Gainesville when he became Florida’s new coach. He understands that if you want to run a successful offense, you need weapons.
The Gators landed a big one Thursday evening. Lucas Krull announced via Twitter that he committed to Florida:
I want to thank GOD for blessing me with this opportunity. Thankful for all my family and friends who were by my side through it all. Fully COMMITTED. I’m officially a FLORIDA GATOR🔶🐊🔷 #AllBite18 pic.twitter.com/4GzCSRpC4j

According to 247Sports, Krull is a 4-star JUCO tight end who also was being pursued by Missouri, Maryland, Kansas State and others. He’s a massive presence (6-foot-7, 255 pounds) who should be able to find some type of role in Mullen’s offense.
The Shawnee (Kan.) native will be a part of the 2018 class, which means fans should see him arrive on campus sometime before the start of fall camp.
Krull was the No. 4 JUCO prospect and top JUCO tight end, according to 247Sports.
