Florida has gotten off to a strong start in its 2019 recruiting class. And that was before they added a commitment from Tyrique Stevenson on Friday Morning.
SEC Country’s Zach Abolverdi can confirm that Stevenson, a 2019 defensive back, has indeed committed to the Gators. Stevenson is listed a 6-feet and 175 pounds and does not yet have a 247Sports Composite ranking.

Stevenson’s commitment now give Florida’s 2019 class four commitments. He joins safety Jaleel McRae, defensive tackle Jaquaze Sorrells and wide receiver Frank Ladson. The Gators currently have the No. 3 class in the 2019 cycle.
After news of the commitment, Florida head coach Jim McElwain seemed pretty excited.
