Another Florida football player has suffered an injury in fall camp.
True freshman safety Quincy Lenton had surgery on Wednesday to repair a broken foot. He announced the injury on his Twitter account.
UF coach Jim McElwain said Monday that Lenton, who may have played this year, will be a “pretty good” player in time.
With Lenton out, Florida is left with Chauncey Gardner, Marcell Harris, Marcus Maye, Jeawon Taylor and Nick Washington at the safety position. Maye and Washington are expected to start.
Earlier Wednesday, news broke that the Gators lost offensive guard Antonio Riles to a torn ACL. He is expected to miss the 2016 season.
