Vernon Hargreaves’ rookie season probably hasn’t gone how he expected.
Taken with the 11th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Hargreaves was the third cornerback overall taken off the board. But while he’s seen the field plenty, he went without an interception in his first 12 games. That changed Sunday, when a tipped Drew Brees pass in the second quarter fell into his hands as he went to the ground.

Hargreaves entered Sunday’s game fifth on the Buccaneers with 59 tackles — not always a good thing for a corner — and has 6 pass deflections.
At Florida, Hargreaves recorded at least 3 interceptions in each of his three seasons, finishing with 10 in his career.
