Goolsby leads UF with 22 catches for 175 yards and one touchdown. Two weeks ago at Vanderbilt, the Derby, Kan. native totaled a career-high eight catches for 37 yards. His eight grabs were the most by a Gator tight end in a game since the 2009 SEC Championship.

The John Mackey Award, presented since 2000, is named for the NFL Hall of Famer who helped create the tight end position into a pass-catching threat on the gridiron. Mackey was a role model on and off the field as demonstrated by his Super Bowl Championship, his commitment to community and his place in history as the first President of the NFL Players Association.
The Mackey Award recipient will be announced on December 7, 2016 and then presented live on December 8, 2016 at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show on ESPNU. The Friends of John Mackey are responsible for the administration of the John Mackey Award & the John Mackey Award Selection Committee.
